A cursory explanation of our speaker system: We will be showcasing different types of speakers on different days. On Saturday we will offer speakers of a broader and more general nature. Subjects that would apply to most people, or at least be approachable to most people. Saturday topics are intended for larger audiences, and seating arraignments will accommodate this assumption.
Further, on Saturday night we will be treating attendees to a large, moderated, panel discussion consisting of many of our speakers, some local hackers, my mother, Ron's cat, a jar of salsa, and anyone else we can add for more perspectives. One of our organizers (okay, okay... me) will be moderating the discussion and administering semi-intelligent questions about technology, culture, where the future of computers will take us, the fall of the Roman Empire, why no one likes me, and other meaningful subjects. We're working on getting C-SPAN to cover it. It'll be really cool, and should prove to be extremely informative.
This is juxtaposed with Sunday, on which we will offer small-group work shops with speakers of a significantly more esoteric nature. Extremely technical topics not intended for a general audience, with groups of under 30 people to allow for discussions, conversations, and a more academic environment. Most speakers on Sunday will offer repeat sessions to counteract the smaller groups, and to accommodate different people's schedules.
The tables below will indicate who is speaking on what subject and on which day, although exact times have not been decided as of yet. All in good time.
